Have you ever watched a butterfly hatch? In science class the Pre-K and Kindergarten students watched a butterfly move through its various stages of life.
Mrs. Telliho brought in a caterpillar that she had found and put it in a jar with some milkweed leaves. The students watched as the caterpillar formed its chrysalis, struggled to free itself from his protective home, “showed off” his beautiful colors and land on their hand.
It was soon time to set the butterfly free. It was sad to say “Good-bye”! It was a fun lesson. Thank you, God, for creating butterflies!
